Happy New Year!!! and the "Best of 2007" lists

Happy New Year, beautiful people!!!!

2007 was a remarkable year here at the Feral Process compound. We got to put out some of our favorite books ever, host historic special events, and work with and bring together some of the most amazing people we've ever met. Thanks so much to all of you who were there to be a part of the magic. We can't wait to share even more great books and special events with you in 2008.

Process books found their ways into the hearts, minds, and, dare we say, souls, of many folks this past year and ended up on several "Best of 2007" lists: Aquarius Records , Adam Forkner of White Rainbow, Steve Krakow of Plastic Crimewave, Tracy Nakayama & Jeremy Yoder, Arik Roper, and Carey Loren of Bookbeat, among them.

In December, boingboing.net founder Mark Fraunfelder declared Process and Feral House "...the world's most interesting book publishers." Yowza! Then Dazed & Confused made Father Yod and The Source Family their VIP profile of their December 2007 cult-themed issue. Blender Magazine is also featuring Father Yod as part of their "Best of 2007" feature coming out in March.

On Arthur Magazine's Best of 2007 blog Corey Loren from BookBeat said: "Independent press Process Books gets the freakout award for reissuing Guitar Army by John Sinclair, and publishing The Source: The Untold Story of Father Yod, YaHoWha 13, and The Source Family by Isis Aquarian and Electricity, Moondog: The Viking of Sixth Avenue by Robert Scotto and Eye Mind: The Saga of Roky Erickson and The 13th Floor Elevators, The Pioneers of Psychedelic Sound by Paul Drummond all in the month of October, wow!"

Meanwhile, here's an illustrated review of Moondog, Eye Mind, and The Source that Plastic Crimewave, the visionary behind Galactic Zoo Dossier, made for Arthur Magazine's most recent issue...
