The Author

Aton Edwards is Executive Director of the NYC-based non-profit organization, International Preparedness Network (IPN). IPN has worked with the Red Cross, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York City Police Department, and other organizations to train thousands domestically and overseas to prevent and respond to emergencies and disasters.

Edwards and IPN are currently involved with assisting reconstruction of small towns in Mississippi with disaster-resistant geodesic and monolithic domed structures like those featured in the Preparedness Now! Disaster-Resistant Homes chapter. Toni Seawright (Miss Mississippi 1987 and IPN member) is co-helming the project, which has been championed by Senator Trent Lott.
