If you live in the Santa Monica area, don’t miss Process author Erik Knutzen speaking about urban farming and homesteading this Sunday at 10:30 am as part of the Good Food Festival & Conference. Erik is the co-author (along with his wife Kelly Coyne) of the award-winning Process book The Urban Homestead: Self-Sufficient Living in the City.

The Good Food Festival & Conference runs September 14-18, and is a project of the The Santa Monica Farmers Market and FamilyFarmed.org in celebration of the market’s 30th anniversary. According to the festival press release, the events “focus on regional and national issues integral to building local food systems, supporting California family farms, and educating people and families about the benefits of good food.”

You can find out more about the festival here, and buy tickets to the speaker series here. You can also find out more about Erik and Kelly’s work on their website, RootSimple. Hope to see you there!
